“Woe to those who do their work in darkness and think, ‘Who sees us? Who will know?’” —Isaiah 29:15

This mixed-media sculpture is a walking security system with style. Inspired by modern surveillance—from Ring cameras to ever-watching smart tech—she’s a roaming, live-feed protector dressed in eccentric color but built to observe. With recording eyes, unsettling hands, crawling skeletons, and a rat-like command center perched atop her head, Motion Detected explores the tension between safety and surveillance. She paces, watches, and records—equal parts parody and protector.
