Artist’s Note:
This piece came together without a plan—emotion, instinct, and layers of whatever was nearby. It began with pages from a Winnie the Pooh book, then came gesso, fiber paste, paint, and a spray-painted black circle I didn’t quite understand then. That circle slowly shifted into something else—a glowing burst, a flower, maybe even the earth. I painted it with my finger, trying to soften the edges, and realized something was taking shape.
I wasn’t trying to make anything specific. I just kept going. It’s a reminder that not everything needs to be figured out—some things you need to just go with.
