Description

I titled this piece “Pieces of Me” because each vibrant fragment represents a different part of myself. Painting on wood allowed me to bring a textured depth to each brushstroke, and I love how the bold colors contrast against the intense red background, symbolizing the energy and emotion within. The black around the eye is particularly meaningful to me—it draws focus, almost like a window into the soul, hinting at shadows, experiences, and layers of complexity that lie beneath. This piece feels deeply personal, as though every piece of color is a unique facet of my identity, all coming together in a single, expressive face.
