Description
“Soft Thought of Her” emerged before the artist understood its meaning. Hours after completing the piece, a warm, unexpected memory rose—one of her mother in the years before dementia, when she was a loving mom and a devoted grandmother.
It was the first memory since her passing that didn’t ache… it felt gentle, kind, and full of light. The vertical strokes and layered greens rise like a thought turning back into a good memory—soft lavender notes blooming like the parts of her mother that were steady, nurturing, and unforgettable.
This work holds that rare, peaceful moment:
a reminder that even after loss, some memories return softly, carrying only love.
